Female Pedestrian, 72, Fatally Hit by Speeding Driver in Cumming

CUMMING, GA – A pickup truck driver, who was said to have been speeding, had struck a 72-year-old woman crossing an intersection, resulting in the pedestrian’s death Sunday. 

At around 9:30 p.m., the motorist, operating a black pickup truck, had struck the woman when the traffic light just turned red at the GA 400 and Jot ‘Em Down Road junction, according to 11Alive.  

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said the woman immediately succumbed to fatal wounds. 

Authorities did not confirm any pending citations or criminal charges filed against the driver.
