Fire Crews Cast Out Car Fire on I-20 in Lithia Springs
LITHIA SPRINGS, GA – Fire crews extinguish the flames from a car on I-20 West just before Thornton Road Tuesday.
WSB Traffic first announced this accident at 1:54 p.m. and stated that crews blocked at least two lanes to accommodate the scene clearance process. During these closures, authorities told drivers to use Highway 78 as an alternative route. Officials reopened the area around 2:21 p.m. and said crews were able to clean up the area.

Firefighters have declined to mention whether the fire was caused by mechanical issues or by a collision.
