GSP Cites Driver in Left-Turn Collision in Baldwin

BALDWIN, GA – Georgia State Patrol cited a 80-year-old woman for failing to yield after hitting a commercial truck with her car while turning left Tuesday. 

This crash took place around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Wilbanks Road and State Route 365, according to AccessWDUN. Once the vehicles collided, the woman, driving a Honda CR-V, would eventually come to rest in a grassy median. The source’s photo showed significant damage done to the back of her car. 

Upon arrival, Habersham County Emergency Services crews transported the Gainesville woman to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of unspecified wounds. She is recovering, while the commercial truck driver, a 36-year-old man from Temple, was spared from injuries.
