Hazelhurst Fiery Car Vs. 18-Wheeler Wreck Claims 4 Lives
HAZELHURST, GA – A fiery head-on collision between a car and an 18-wheeler claimed the lives of two men and two toddlers on Thursday, WJCL said.
Georgia State Patrol said a local man driving a Chevrolet Avalanche had collided head-on with the truck on GA 27, causing the vehicles to catch fire.
The Chevrolet driver and his passengers, the 1-year-old and 2-year-old child, and the truck operator, an Elgin man, died at the scene.
Authorities shut down the intersection of GA 27 and Eureka Church Road for scene clearance and investigation.
