CANTON, GA – A hit-and-run collision, reported on Cumming Highway near Jordan Lane, had claimed a 79-year-old woman’s life and ended in the suspect’s arrest.

Someone had called 911 after the wreck unfolded, and upon arrival, local police found a Rivian part and then the Amazon delivery truck, which matched the description of the vehicle that hit the 79-year-old woman, a Canton resident.
Canton officers booked the man into custody. He has since been charged with “first-degree vehicular homicide and hit-and-run resulting in death.” He is being held without bond.
