Injury Head-on Crash With Rollover Reported in Hartwell
HARTWELL, GA – A pickup truck driver crashed into a semi-truck head-on, leading that truck to hit another big rig and ending in a rollover wreck with injuries Sunday.
The collision was reported before 6 a.m. on Royston Highway, near Seed Cleaner Road, according to WYFF News Channel 4. The Hart County Sheriff’s Office determined that the pickup truck driver did not maintain their lane in the westbound directions, causing them to veer out of the lane and collide with the first tractor-trailer. That tractor-trailer then hit another 18-wheeler, which caused the 18-wheeler to then overturn.
All occupants suffered non-life-threatening wounds and were taken to Anmed Hospital by Hart County EMS.
Hart County fire crews also responded to the scene and confirmed no reports of extrication.
The Georgia State Patrol launched an investigation and has not verified additional information.
