Male Motorcyclist, 41, Fatally Strikes Tree in Gainesville
GAINESVILLE, GA – A 41-year-old man operating a motorcycle died when he drifted off the 5200th block of Ponderosa Farm Road and slammed into a tree last Thursday, Jan 2.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office told NowHambersham they have reason to believe the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a curve prior to crashing into the tree around 8 p.m. off the northbound lanes. Before the motorist struck the tree, he also hit a culvert.Â
After authorities arrived, they declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene after finding his body in the woods and shut down the area for two hours to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation procedure.
