Male Motorcyclist Loses Life in Solo Collision in Augusta
AUGUSTA, GA โ A 60-year-old man riding a motorcycle lost control of his bike on Bobby Jones Expressway, which led to a crash that claimed his life Tuesday.
WRDW said the collision happened around 11 p.m., and authorities arrived at the scene a short time later and said the man, the sole occupant, was found unconscious on a grassy median. The biker succumbed to his wounds at midnight on Wednesday.
Due to the nature of the crash, officials shut down the west and eastbound directions of Bobby Jones Expressway until 5:30 a.m. for the scene clearance process.
