Man, 38, Killed in T-Bone Crash at Chamblee Intersection
DEKALB COUNTY, GA – A high-speed collision early Friday in Chamblee claimed the life of a 38-year-old man, according to WSB-TV Atlanta.
The fatal incident unfolded at Buford Highway and Chamblee-Tucker Road, at about 1:30 a.m.
Local police say a 20-year-old driver was intoxicated when they ran a red light at the intersection. Moments later, their vehicle T-boned a car driven by the 38-year-old man,
The victim, identified in the source article as a local realtor, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the striking vehicle and two of his passengers suffered unspecified injuries. The driver of a third impacted vehicle was also reported minor injuries.
Among the charges being filed against the suspect are “homicide by vehicle in the 1st degree, DUI, reckless driving, speeding”, as well as “possession of alcohol by someone under 21.” He was also found to be an unlicensed driver with no insurance and a suspended registration.
