Man, 61, Fatally Hit by Hit-And-Run Suspect in Augusta

AUGUSTA, GA – A 61-year-old man experiencing homelessness was rushed to Wellstar MCG, where he passed away after getting hit by a driver who fled the scene Friday. 

This collision took place at the intersection of 10th Street and Greene Street, WRDW reports. The man succumbed to fatal wounds at MCG at approximately 8:57 p.m. 

An autopsy was scheduled. The Richmond County Coroner’s Office has not provided an update regarding what the suspect and their vehicle looked like.
