Motorcyclist Fatally Hit by SUV in Left-Turn Crash in Hinesville
HINESVILLE, GA – A motorcyclist died after she was hit by an SUV driver who was turning left on West Oglethorpe Highway Friday.Â
WJCL said that the incident unfolded around 6 p.m.Â
Medical helicopter personnel were summoned to the crash site and had intended to transport the victim to a trauma center. The transportation services were called off because the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
The Hinesville Police Department launched an investigation. At this time, they are working to determine which party was at fault and have made no announcements with regard to citations or criminal charges.
