Officer Hurt In Dunwoody Head-on Wreck Caused By Alleged DUI Driver
DUNWOODY, GA – A 24-year-old woman, who was suspected of impairment, crashed her Mercedes-Benz vehicle head-on into a patrol car, sending a police officer to a hospital Sunday.
The Atlanta woman had driven north on southbound Ashford Dunwoody Road when she collided with the patrol car around 5 a.m., WSBTV reports.
Preliminary details showed that one officer had swerved out of the way to avoid a collision with the Atlanta woman. Another officer also came onto the scene and attempted to avoid a crash. However, despite their attempts, they were hit head-on and sustained injuries that were not deemed serious.
