Pedestrian hit, injured by hit-and-run driver in central Whitfield County
WHITFIELD COUNTY, GA – Authorities are searching for a driver who was responsible for a hit-and-run collision Saturday night, July 20, in Dalton that left a pedestrian hurt, reports WJCL 22 ABC.
Dalton Police Department officials said the incident took place on a stretch of Vernon Avenue, shortly after 10:00 p.m.
Eyewitness accounts indicate a driver in a single-cab black pickup truck struck the victim. The vehicle, which appeared to sustain front-end damage in the crash, was then seen leaving the scene.
