Pole Damaged, Man Arrested After Sandy Springs Pursuit-crash
SANDY SPRINGS, GA – A pursuit-turned-crash on Roswell Road last Wednesday caused damage to a utility pole and ended in a man’s arrest last Wednesday, March 26.
The Sandy Springs Police Department told Fox 5 Atlanta that one officer had, for reasons unclear, attempted to pull over a male driver.
The man refused to stop and continued driving. He lost control of his car and crashed into a utility. A spark was ignited after the car made contact with the pole, although no serious fire was reported.
The officer arrested the man at the scene and booked him into jail. He has since been released on a $17,000 bond.
