Police Investigate School Bus-Car Wreck in Augusta
AUGUSTA, GA – Local police are investigating the details behind what led a school bus driver to crash into a car in the Martinez district Wednesday.
Officers told WRDW that the bus driver was on their way to drop off the students on board at Warren Road Elementary School when the collision took place at the intersection of Patriots Way and Washington Road.
EMS crews were also dispatched to the scene to check on the physical conditions of the children and bus driver. Paramedics treated the motorist on site and said the kids were spared from serious wounds.
At the time of the reporting, school personnel were working to coordinate efforts to remove the children from the struck bus and onto another one.
