Pursuit in Albany Ends in Crash That Claims 3 Lives
ALBANY, GA โ A pursuit ended in a crash on Magnolia Street, which claimed the lives of three men and injured the speeding and fleeing driver Sunday.
Georgia State Patrol told FOX5Atlanta that the events unfolded after 1 a.m. when troopers tried to pull over a driver of a white Mercedes-Benz sedan going 75 mph in a 40 mph zone on Dawson Road. The motorist did not obey GSP’s orders to stop and kept going until they crashed and went over some railroad tracks.ย
The three men who perished at the scene were ejected from the car. The driver stayed at the scene and was subject to troopers’ questioning before being taken to a nearby hospital.
GSP did not state any pending criminal charges or citations for the driver, state the motorist’s current condition, or disclose the victims’ identities or ages.
