Semi-car wreck in Cobb Co. claims 29-year-old woman’s life
COBB COUNTY, GA – A 29-year-old woman driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 passed away when her car rotated and hit a median wall twice and then collided with a semi Thursday.
This collision happened before 3:45 a.m. on I-20 East near Riverside Parkway, according to Atlanta News First. The semi had an attached 53-foot trailer and was said to have rear-ended the car before jackknifing and then coming to rest on the shoulder.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office said the 29-year-old woman died at the scene and said the two semi-occupants, a 45-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, were unharmed.
Police started an investigation and have not confirmed what led the Pontiac driver to collide with the wall. If anyone has more information about Thursday’s wreck, they are asked to contact the police department at the phone number listed in the source.
