Speeding driver causes auto wreck that sends 4 to hospital in Atlanta
ATLANTA, GA – A driver of a Dodge Charger was charged for speeding and failing to maintain a lane after causing a multi-auto crash that sent four people to the hospital Tuesday.
This collision happened before 1:30 p.m. on I-20 West near Hamilton E. Holmes Drive, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. Preliminary crash details showed that the Dodge Charger driver had gone too fast and drifted into another lane, taken aback by a vehicle in that same lane. The Dodge driver tried to avoid colliding with that unknown vehicle, swerved into the right, and struck a gray Camry.
The Dodge driver then struck a white Acura TSX and a parked Honda Passport on the shoulder. The impact led the white Acura to go to the right and crash into a white Ford workvan.
Georgia State Patrol shut down a right lane for two hours to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
