Melissa Barfield

Melissa Barfield serves as Firm Operations Manager at Kaufman Injury Law, where she has spent nine years building and refining the operational infrastructure that allows the firm to deliver consistent, high-quality service to its clients. In her role, Melissa oversees day-to-day operations across departments, coordinates between staff and leadership, and works to ensure that every aspect of the firm functions efficiently, from administrative workflows to client-facing processes. She is a steady presence behind the scenes, and her fingerprints are on much of what makes Kaufman Injury Law run well.
Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Kennesaw State University and later obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Georgia, a combination that equips her with both strong interpersonal skills and the legal grounding required to manage a high-volume personal injury firm. Originally from Douglasville, Georgia, she is deeply rooted in the communities the firm serves.
Outside the office, Melissa is a devoted wife and mother of two daughters. She can often be found at one of her daughters’ sporting events and is a proud fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. In her downtime, she enjoys exercising, listening to ’90s music (the Backstreet Boys earn a specific shoutout), and diving into true crime content.
