Train Fatally Strikes Teen Pedestrian in Duluth
DULUTH, GA โ A teenage pedestrian lost their life after they were struck by a train off Dailey Drive and Rogers Bridge Road NW Wednesday.
Duluth police told AccessWDUN 75 that the pedestrian was allegedly lying down on the tracks when the southbound train came and ran them over. The train conductor activated the emergency brakes and horns but could not avoid the crash.
Officers said they arrived at the scene after 8:45 p.m. and declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. It is unclear if suicide ideation played a role in the crash.
