Train-Log Truck Wreck Near Macon State Prison Claims Man’s Life
MACON COUNTY, GA – A log truck driver’s life was claimed after he collided with a train near the Macon State Prison Monday, WGXA News said.
The collision took place at 10:30 a.m. at Stagecoach Road and Buckeye Road. The truck driver, a 43-year-old Macon man, suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
Georgia Motor Carrier Compliance Division and the Macon County Sheriff’s Office are working to pinpoint the exact cause of the collision.
No citations or criminal charges were formally announced.
