Update: Van Driver Hospitalized After Plowing Into Lavonia Burger King
LAVONIA, GA – Lavonia police confirmed a van driver was taken to a hospital as a precaution after crashing into a Burger King Thursday.
New details from FOX 5 Atlanta indicate that the motorist suffered a medical emergency, which led them to lose control of their white van and ultimately plow through the fast food joint.
The restaurant was significantly damaged. The van, affiliated with Reed Plumbing & Electric, also was heavily damaged.
Officers have not been able to provide an update on the occupant’s current condition, and the owners of the fast food establishment have not confirmed when the restaurant will reopen.
Updates will be added as our news team learns more.
