Woman Causes South Fulton Head-on Wreck That Claims Officer’s Life
SOUTH FULTON, GA – An on-duty officer lost his life after he was struck head-on by a female driver while driving his police cruiser on Wednesday, Fox 5 Atlanta.
The collision happened after midnight off Flat Shoals Road and Connell Road. First responders transported the officer and female motorist, 31, to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The officer died at the hospital, while the Atlanta woman was left in critical condition. The woman is receiving treatment for her leg injuries.
Georgia State Patrol is determining whether the Atlanta woman was impaired while operating a vehicle. At this time, she will be facing charges.
