Woman Killed, Man Hospitalized After North Atlanta Wrong-Way Wreck

NORTH ATLANTA, GA – One driver was traveling southbound on GA 400 North, leading to a wrong-way crash that killed a 24-year-old woman and sent a 52-year-old man to a hospital Sunday. 

This collision, which involved a Toyota Rav4 and a Kia Sorento, happened before 5:15 a.m. in the Buckhead area adjacent to Lenox Road, WSBTV reports. Upon arrival, first responders declared the 24-year-old woman operating the Kia dead at the scene and took the other driver, the 52-year-old man operating the Toyota, to the hospital. 

Officials said the 52-year-old man was not breathing when emergency crews arrived and have not been able to provide an update on this current condition. 

The Atlanta Police Department launched an investigation, and have not been able to confirm which driver was going the wrong-way or provide a definitive answer regarding the contributing factor behind this wreck.
