Women Injured as Car Slams Into Clarksville Dollartree
CLARKSVILLE, GA – A 20-year-old woman and a 71-year-old woman sustained minor injuries when a car plowed into a Dollar Tree store last Friday, February 28.
The solo collision happened around 3 p.m. on Washington Street, according to Now Habersham. The elderly woman said she had intended to put her car in park but pressed on the gas pedal by mistake.
While the elderly lady did not have to be hospitalized, the 20-year-old Mount Airy woman was sent to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
Habersham County, Demorest, and Clarksville officials all responded to the scene.
As shown in some photos, the windows of the building were significantly damaged.
The store personnel have not issued a formal statement regarding the wreck.
