Adult, Child Lose Lives to Fatal Collision in Dacula
DACULA, GA – A 66-year-old adult and a 6-year-old child lost their lives to a fatal collision that happened in Dacula north of Rabbit Hill Park on Memorial Day.
The deadly crash occurred at the intersection of Old Fountain Road & Old Peachtree Road on Monday evening, according to WSBTV.
A neighbor who witnessed the crash said collisions at that specific intersection are common occurrences on holidays, noting that speeding appears to be a regular contributing factor.
Gwinnett County Police did not say whether the victims were pedestrians, cyclists, or vehicle occupants or confirm whether speeding was a contributing factor in the crash. A formal investigation into Monday’s collision has been launched.
