Authorities respond to wreck on eastbound I-20 near Stonecrest

DEKALB COUNTY, GA – A vehicle accident Friday morning blocked two left lanes on eastbound Interstate 20 near Stonecrest, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The crash took place at Exit 74 to Lithonia Industrial Boulevard and was first reported by GDOT at 7:24 a.m.

Little information has been made available at this time, but the partial closure remained in place for at least 40 minutes.

By 8:06 a.m., crews had cleared the scene from the interstate and all travel lanes were reopened.

Authorities have not indicated the number of vehicles involved, what led up to the wreck, or whether anyone was seriously hurt.
